Fire department responds to fam camp fire Published July 20, 2009 Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Base firefighters responded to a recreational trailer that caught on fire at the on-base camp site shortly before 3 a.m. July 17. The owner was not home at the time of the blaze, which resulted in a complete loss of the trailer. Nearly a dozen firefighters were able to control and extinguish the fire within 30 minutes of arriving on scene. Total damages were estimated around $30,000. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
