Personnel from the 94th Maintenance Squadron will find their working environment much more comfortable due to extremely large fans installed in bay 2 and 3 of the maintenance hangar in building 838 here Oct. 27.

Features of the fans include the ability to move air in an outward direction in larger spaces, circulate air around obstructed areas on floors, and with multiple fans such as those installed in the hangar, work together to create the feel of one single air flow source.

In keeping with command initiatives to conserve energy, the high volume and low speed 24 foot diameter environmentally compliant fans will result in the hangar bays being cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, making them cost effective for the unit.
