Dobbins loses 14 positions, gains 1 new

Air Force officials announced June 25 its proposed force structure realignment for Fiscal Year 2010. It reflects adjustments which will provide unsurpassed Global Vigilance, Global Reach and Global Power ... to fly, fight and win in air, space and cyberspace - today and in the future, given available resources. 

The 94th Airlift Wing at Dobbins Air Reserve Base has a decrease of 12 Traditional Reservist and two Air Reserve Technician positions as a result of the Airlift Control Flight restructure and has an increase of one civilian due to Air Traffic Control Automation. The wing's primary mission for FY2010 will continue to be training C-130 pilots. 

The Air Force announcement specifies the force structure changes experienced by the Total Force - Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and Air Force active duty. 

Implementation of these actions will occur only after completion of appropriate environmental analyses when required. 

A summary of military and civilian personnel changes and reassignment of aircraft at Air Force bases for the upcoming fiscal year are included in the Air Force announcement. It does not include programmatic actions in FY11 and beyond.
