French Medal has extra special meaning for Reservist
The National Park Service and the Friends of the National World War II Memorial hosted a Victory in Europe ceremony at the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. on May 8, 2024. The ceremony honored the 79th anniversary of the May 8th victory in Europe and featured a presentation of colors, national anthems and musical tributes, a presentation of medals to U.S. service men and women from the French military, a “Parade of Heroes” and a presentation of wreaths.
