Finally Home: Honoring Airmen lost in WWII
Army honor guardsmen stand by ready to fire their rifles Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., Oct. 31, 2023. Members of the firing party fire three volleys as during dynastic wars in Europe where after taking time to bury the deceased, three blank volleys from a seven-man team would be fired to signify that fighting could resume.
