Lt. Col. George Pelech Fini-Flight
A C-130 H flies over Dobbins Air Force Base, Ga. Geb. 28, 2023. Lt. Col. George Pelech, 700th Operations Squadron assistant director of operations, flew his final flight, also known as a fini-flight, to commemorate his time in the Air Force. A fini-flight is a long standing Air Force tradition, stemming from World War II, when aviators would fly one final flight on an aircraft before departing a unit or before never flying their aircraft again. Pelech’s flight commemorated his 38 years in service, and his family, friends, and coworkers came out to celebrate with him.
