Dam project continues
Workers for EMR Inc. are excavating the area behind the base's Big Lake dam and beginning to pour the concrete for reinforcement. The dam was built in 1906, and over time water has undermined the structure. The $3.7 million project will provide additional reinforcement and allow the lake to continue protecting the area from potential flooding on and off base. (U.S. Air Force photo/Micah Garbarino)
