Punchy and bluenosed
Retired Air Force fighter pilot, Bob "Punchy" Powell, visited the 700th Airlift Squadron and shared his experiences and stories of other pilots that flew against the Germans in World War II. He also signed copies of his book, "Bluenoser Tales," about the exploits of the 352nd Fighter Group that flew out of Bodney Airfield in England. Powell was here to support the Air Warrior Program. The 700th Airlift Squadron sponsors the program to motivate and instill a warrior spirit, said Maj. Todd Copley, assistant operations officer and part-time historian. (Air Force photo/Don Peek)
