Air Force Week Atlanta Proclamation Ceremony
Maj. Gen. William Nesbitt, Georgia Assistant Adjutant General, reads the proclamation designating Oct. 8-14 as Air Force Week Atlanta during a ceremony at the Marietta Conference Center Oct. 8 as Maj. Gen. Martin Mazick, 22nd Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force Rodney McKinley look on. Nearly 100 people attended the ceremony, which featured remarks by Georgia Congressman Phil Gingrey and an oath of enlistment for a dozen high school students. Air Force Week is designed to inform the American public, civic leaders and service members about the Air Force's mission, 60-year heritage, capabilities and role in the Global War on Terror.
