Retired Colonel "Tony" Cushenberry
Retired Col. Anthony “Tony” Cushenberry is the 700th Airlift Squadron’s Air Warrior speaker for the January unit training assembly. He is a native of Georgia who attended the University of Georgia on a football scholarship and found his niche for flying through the school’s Air Force Reserve Officer Training Program in 1953. He served two tours in Vietnam and flew 125 missions in the F-105 Thunderchief, a supersonic jet tactical fighter bomber. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Stan Coleman)
