Dobbins to commemorate 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 attacks

Plans to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks are scheduled Sept. 10-11 to pay tribute to our nation’s fallen heroes, military service members and victims of the attacks. A memorial display will be set up at the base POW/MIA Memorial Park Sept. 10 allowing Dobbins servicemembers to pay respects beginning at 12 p.m. lasting throughout the day. Sept. 11. The commemoration will begin with the ringing of four bells coinciding with each individual attack. To conclude the remembrance events, a retreat ceremony is scheduled to be held at the memorial park and will include a performance by the Dobbins Honor Guard.
