New radar site construction
Contractors from Newkirk Electric dig at the site of the new Digital Air Surveillance Radar (DASR) Tower near building 557, Oct. 26. The tower, operated by the 94th Communications Squadron, will have updated equipment, to include digital vs. analog capability, and will be more energy efficient.
