Dobbins Chapel on the Move
94th Airlift Wing Commander, Col. Tim Tarchick, addresses honored guests and news media at an early morning ceremony marking the relocation of the Dobbins chapel, Dobbins ARB, Ga., March. 17. To meet post-9/11 security requirements, new construction of a perimeter road and parking lot at the chapel site dictated the chapel must be removed. The private, non-profit Dobbins Chapel Foundation, 94th Airlift Wing and Georgia National Guard arrived at a solution at no cost to the government, to move the historic chapel across the base.
