The base tour was part of a three day congressional delegation visit to Dobbins ARB, Robins and Moody Air Force Bases. With 80 percent of the wing’s Airmen living in Georgia, the Congressman sought to gain a deeper understanding of the Air Force Reserve, and its role in supporting Air Force core capabilities. “Our strength comes from our Airmen,” said Col. Steven Parker, 94th AW commander, during a wing mission briefing to Congressman Hice. “Our goal is to provide mission ready forces-ready and trained Airmen who are properly equipped for any mission.” Parker boasted the wing’s participation in recent exercises and deployments, its uniqueness in owning and operating its own airfield, and its one-of-a-kind training facilities. “We [Dobbins] receive unwavering support from our local community,” the commander added. “We strive to be a good neighbor, and constantly make cooperative efforts to promote corporate growth.” Congressman Hice thanked the Airmen for their professionalism and hard work. “This visit gave me a much better understanding of the 94th AW mission,” said Hice. “I’ve always been impressed with the men and women of our military. Regardless of the many obstacles and challenges you encounter, you do what it takes to keep our country safe, and you do it extremely well.” In addition to the 94th AW, Congressman Hice also visited Lucius D.
