94th AW to participate in AvDet 17-1 in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve Published Oct. 3, 2016 DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- The 94th Airlift Wing, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia, and the 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, are participating in bilateral training with the Polish Air Force during Aviation Detachment 17-1 (AvDet 17-1) in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve at Powidz, Poland, from approximately Oct. 3-28, 2016. The 86th AW and 94th AW will each send two C-130 aircraft for a total of four aircraft and approximately 130 Airmen to participate in this training. During AvDet 17-1, one C-130H from the 94th AW will support Latvian civil-military training during Sky Fist 16 at Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia, for an aircraft mishap exercise from approximately Oct. 5-7, 2016. These multilateral trainings will focus on maintaining joint readiness while building interoperability. Through strengthened relationships and engagements with our Allies, the United States and NATO demonstrate their shared commitment to a peaceful, stable and secure Europe.
