As we approach the end of 2015 and the beginning of another holiday season, I would like to thank every member of the 22nd Air Force (“Double Deuce”) for all you’ve done to keep our country safe and free this year!

I would also like thank your family members and friends for their support, as you went about the business of successfully demonstrating our primary mission of providing combat ready Airmen to combatant commanders worldwide.

Over the coming days and weeks, many of you will be participating in time honored holiday traditions – family gatherings, office/unit parties, religious events and traveling to visit relatives and friends. Please keep safety in mind as you travel back and forth to join in holiday events. Have fun and celebrate responsibly.

For most people, the holidays are a time of joy and celebration but for others, this season can be painful. If you see someone who appears to be troubled, lonely or depressed, please reach out to them and provide assistance. It is integral to our wingman culture for Airmen to take care of Airmen. Our Wingman Toolkit is a phenomenal resource to assist those in need (www.wingmantoolkit.org - available as a mobile app).

Finally, I look forward to serving with all of you in 2016. I am honored to serve as your commander and I wish you, your family members and friends the warmest of holiday greetings and best wishes for the New Year!
