Lehman 94th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Members of the 94th Airlift Wing attended a mandatory commander’s call at Hangar 5 here May 2.Col. Brett Clark, 94th AW commander, honored the wing for its quality improvement in performance and morale.Clark recognized several members of the wing for outstanding achievements in their careers as well as quarterly award winners.Maj. Robert L. Mayes II, 94th Security Forces Squadron, was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for excellence service and mission accomplishments within the 94th AW first-ever commander’s action group.Next, Chief Master Sgt. Lyndon Tubbs, 94th AW command chief, received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for providing superior service in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.Following the awarding of the service medals was the recognition of four members of the 94th SFS who received the annual Air Force Reserve Command level Security Forces awards. Master Sgt. Kenny Moore, was presented the outstanding SF flight level senior NCO award, Senior Airman Dereck C. Knight II, was presented the outstanding SF flight level airman, Dobbins Police Sgt. Bryan Lemay, was presented the outstanding civilian flight supervisory employee award, and Mr. James Flounory, was presented the outstanding security forces civilian employee award.The 2014 fourth quarter award winners were:Airman of the quarter - Senior Airman David Garritson, 94th Aircraft Maintenance SquadronNon-Commissioned Officer of the quarter - Staff Sgt. John Crumbley, 94th AW Safety Office, where he made clear that we are in the 101 Critical Days of Summer and outdoor activities will increase.“Use common sense and you will be fine,” said Crumbley. “Stop and think, take care of yourself and one another to help us make our job easier.”The 94th Airlift Wing will continue to work to provide unrivaledwarfighting capability, “as well as striving to be second to none” within the reserve component, said Clark.
