Visited sites included the Base Fire department Training Site, the Eastern Regional C-130 Simulator, the Force Support Combat Training Center, base Air traffic  Control Tower and Weather Station, a demonstration by base Explosive Ordnance Disposal and a tour of a C-130 Hercules with demonstrations by the 94th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. "This was such a great opportunity to see what goes on inside the gates, and how our military operates on a day-to-day basis," said Susan Upchurch of Civil Engineering Consultants, Inc. "I never pass up an opportunity to thank them for their service to our nation." The HCA is a Cobb County Chamber of Commerce entity, whose main purpose is to take local civic leaders and introduce them to the military.
