Unit: 94th Maintenance Squadron Position: Electronic Warfare Systems Specialist Years of Service: 2 years What does your job entail? I ensure that the electronic countermeasures on our C-130s are operational and guarded against threats, such as missiles. Chaffs, flares and other electronic systems fall under my purview. What do you enjoy most about your job? I like using my mind to solve problems I face in my career field. It takes a lot of technical ability, training and ingenuity to overcome some issues we face here in maintenance. What problems have you faced in the Reserve? Other than the government shutdown, there aren't a lot of problems for me. I am part of a good team, and they take care of me. During the shutdown, I was pointed in the right direction by people in my shop to help me find a job. I work at Knuckle Up Fitness as a mixed martial arts fighter. What was your last achievement? I achieved my 5-level ahead of schedule during my seasoning training. I did this alongside Airman 1st Class Michael Bastian, also a 94th AW electronic warfare systems specialist. Where do you see yourself in five years? Five years from now I'd like to be working a stable civilian job, and maybe married. I have one year of school left, and I'm planning to study psychology. Do you intend to stay in the Air Force Reserve? Yes! They will have to force me out. I would like to become a Command Chief Master Sgt., or go as high as I can. What advice would you give your Airmen? Take the time to think about your decisions and appreciate the moment. What is your favorite movie? Tears of the Sun. I am a Bruce Willis fan. I also like Safe House and the Avengers. What Avengers character do you relate to most? I really like Thor's warrior mentality and the intelligence Tony Stark uses, even though he may not be a strong as his opponent. What do you do for recreation? I am an MMA fighter. I use Mau Tai and Brazilian Ju Jitsu to cleanse my mind and relieve stress. I try to laugh a lot and joke as much as I can. I'm also a writer and artist. I am writing a book right now with the intention to have it published. I'm not just a Juggernaut - I also have a creative side! What are you going to do for the holidays? I plan to spend it with my family in Albany, Ga.: mom, dad, sisters, and brother. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself. I don't like ducks.
