Train today, save lives tomorrow Published March 13, 2014 94th Airlift Wing Public Affairs POPE FIELD, N.C. -- Senior Airman Hannah Rice, 94th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron technician, is completing Aeromedical Evacuation Formal Training. The seven month training takes commissioned and enlisted aeromedical evacuation Airmen across the United States, from the classroom at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, to water survival school at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., and ends at the AEFTU at Pope Field, N.C. "The instructors teach one-on-one and are very personable," said Rice. "They make sure you understand what is going on. I look forward to helping people who can't help themselves. We are not free to help ourselves. We are free to help others."
