Sweet Eloise dedicated in 1997

Originally published on the cover of the June 1997 Minuteman, The Dobbins front gate B 29 static display, Sweet Eloise was dedicated May 6, 1997. Gov. Zell Miller attended the event, which drew several hundred visitors. Pictured with the governor is Eloise Strom, the bomber's namesake. [inset] Lt. Col. Ray Clinkscales, the plane's first pilot, flew this B-29 on eight missions during World War II.
