Tech. Sgt. Rickeita Conley

Job Title: Air Force Reserve Recruiter
Time in Service: 11.5 years
Hometown: New Orleans, La.

How did you began your Air Force career?
I began my Air Force career as a communications specialist and retrained into command support in 2009. I became a recruiter and moved to Dobbins Air Reserve Base in June 2013.

What do you do in your spare time?
Recruiting takes up a lot of my time. When I'm off-duty, I love hanging out with my husband, my 9-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy.

What is your guilty pleasure?
Going to movies by myself.

How are you spending Halloween?
We don't really celebrate Halloween, but we are having a big church event for the kids, so they'll still get candy.

What are you favorite television programs?
When I was younger, I loved watching Little House on the Prairie. As a teenager, my favorite movie was Love & Basketball. Now, I just enjoy funny movies.

What's your most embarrassing moment?
I was getting recognized at a commander's call. As I was walking to the stage, I tripped in front of everyone. Fortunately, I didn't fall on my face.

What are some of your future goals?
My goals are to be promoted to Chief Master Sgt., and to raise my kids to be independent, and the best they can be.

Name a recent accomplishment of yours.
Growing up where I did, in NOLA, graduating from college was a huge accomplishment.

If you could spend one hour with anyone, who would it be?
If I could spend one hour with anyone, it would be gospel singer Kim Burell. I want to see what inspires her to sing what she sings.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Recruiting is exciting, and very rewarding. There's always something new going on. I love it!

Favorite football team?
I'm a die-hard Saints fan! I can easily hold my own in football conversations. Also, Go Tigers (LSU)!
