94th Security Forces Squadron: Shooting, Moving and Communicating June 16, 2025

The 94th Security Forces Squadron recently conducted a comprehensive exercise titled "Shoot, Move, Communicate" at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga., which is designed to prepare Defenders to effectively respond under fire, enhancing their tactical proficiency and communication skills.

By utilizing simunitions—non-lethal training ammunition that provides realistic impact feedback—Airmen experienced the pressures of combat scenarios. This realistic training environment compels participants to employ precise communication and coordinated tactics, moving away from indiscriminate firing towards deliberate, suppressive fire aimed at neutralizing threats.

The incorporation of simunitions also highlights the consequences of friendly-fire incidents, particularly in confined spaces. By experiencing the tangible effects of such errors, Airmen gain a deeper understanding of the importance of situational awareness and team coordination, reinforcing the critical nature of each action taken during operations.

Exercises like "Shoot, Move, Communicate" are integral to the 94th SFS's commitment to maintaining a high level of readiness, ensuring that our Defenders are well-equipped to respond effectively to real-world threats and represent the DoD’s commitment to remaining the strongest and most lethal force in the world.
