My name is SrA Derrius Amis

Unit: 94th Force Support Squadron

Official Duty Title: Lodging Admin

Hometown: Atlanta, Ga

Time in service: 3 1/2 years

Time at Dobbins: 3 1/2 years

Goals: Short Term- I love my career field and still have plenty to learn from, however I would like to transfer over into a different unit That would be more complimentary to my civilian career field which is Engineering. Also become more confident in myself and my abilities.
Take more risks!

Long term-Create generational wealth, maintain a constant cash flow, and graduating from college and then obtaining my GC license.
-Creating my own businesses and having them be my primary and secondary sources of income.

Hobbies: Working out, cooking, playing sports, reading, and outdoors/adventures.

Transparency: By being completely clear when doing turnovers to my teammates and allowing any open Ideas that could help ease the process.

Credibility: Being transparent ties into this. Being reliable when members need me to accommodate them So they will have somewhere to stay. Showing empathy because you never know What someone day has been like so just helping them the best way I can will ease a little off.

Camaraderie: This lodging team loves to communicate with each other. We are very comfortable And we allow each other equal airtime. So no one feels left out or that their opinions does not matter.

Quote that I live by would be; " Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for today." What this means to me is that knowledge is power. The more you educate yourself the more aware you become. You will not know everything it's impossible to, but you can prepare yourself accordingly.

What's something other people wouldn't know about you:
I love kid movies more than adult movies.
