DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Vice President Mike Pence stopped briefly at Dobbins today before heading to a series of meetings in metro Atlanta.

Air Force Two landed here around noon, where the vice president was greeted by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and his wife, Marty; Reps. Doug Collins, Barry Loudermilk and Drew Ferguson; Maj. Gen. Thomas Carden, The Adjutant General of the Georgia Department of Defense; and Col. Craig McPike, 94th Airlift Wing commander.

Shortly thereafter, Pence departed the base via motorcade, and headed to a lunch meeting with Kemp, followed by a roundtable discussion with restaurant owners and executives at Waffle House Headquarters in Norcross, Ga.

The vice president is expected to return to Washington, D.C. later this evening.
