Lt. Col. Paul Meyer, commander of the 94th Maintenance Squadron, volunteered his time pushing a stroller and shopping during Shop With A Hero, an event to help buy Christmas gifts for needy families. The event took place Dec. 8 at the Kohl's department store in Acworth, Ga. During Shop With A Hero, hundreds of Airmen, Soldiers, Marines and Sailors joined with local public safety personnel to escort young people as they were given a $100.00 gift card to buy gifts for their families. "I encourage more Air Force members to participate next year," said Colonel Meyer. "My family and I will definitely volunteer again. Its a positive reflection on Dobbins and the military." Colonel Meyer added that the most rewarding part of the experience was watching the children enjoy shopping for their parents and other family members.
