Changes to per diem entitlements Published April 16, 2009 Compiled by Staff Reports DOBBINS AIR RESREVE BASE, Ga. -- Effective June 2, reservists will only receive per diem for the first 180 days of a deployment in support of Operations Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Members will not receive per diem for the length of the temporary duty past the 180 day mark. Commanders or supervisors of those currently deployed for more than 180 days or those forecasted to exceed 180 days by June 2 should submit individual justification waiver request letters for Secretarial approval of payment. Once the member goes past 180 days at the location then the TDY stops and the member reverts to a permanent change of station status, which does not pay per diem. A second change affects those having a total of 1,275 days or more in one location. Those TDY entitlements stop March 31.
