Air Force Assistance Fund underway at Dobbins Published June 1, 2009 Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- This year's Air Force Assistance Fund "Commitment to Caring" drive is in full swing here, and members of Team Dobbins have until June 30 to contribute. The Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF) was established to provide for an annual effort to raise funds for the charitable affiliates that provide support to Air Force family members in need. This includes Active duty, Reservists, Guard and Retirees and their dependents. These organizations are the Air Force Village Foundation, Inc., the Air Force Aid Society, Inc., the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation and the Air Force Enlisted Village, Inc. These organizations help Air Force members with aid in an emergency, with educational needs, or to have a secure retirement home for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance.
