I am responsible for managing all Communications functions of Dobbins ARB, serving as the focal point for systems administration, network operations and maintenance, and IT security and systems accreditation. We maintain existing communications hardware and software as well as coordinate with AFRC and our customer base for future applications and infrastructure. What are the most challenging aspects of your job? The most challenging aspect of my job is finding the right balance between mandated communications requirements and customer requests. We have to figure out how to satisfy the needs of the customer while maintaining the integrity of the communications infrastructure. What's most rewarding about your job? The most rewarding aspect of my job is the opportunities for leadership, where I can positively influence many people's lives, professionally, personally, and spiritually. What was your previous assignment? I was previously the 94SVS Commander and was very proud to watch that squadron transform into one of the best Services Squadrons in AFRC. What do you enjoy doing for recreation? I mostly enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy many outdoor activities. I am also very passionate about exercise and fitness. What do you enjoy most about the Air Force Reserve? The Air Force Reserve makes you feel like you are a part of a big family. We all have that common bond of choosing to serve a cause greater than ourselves. Are you married? Do you have any children? I have been married for 8 years and have 3 children (Josh - 6, Rachael - 5, and Ethan - 2). What advice would you give a young person who is considering joining the military? I have been in the Air Force for all of my adult life. The military has consistently given me opportunities that no civilian employer could or would have provided. Take every challenge and turn it into an "avenue to excel"!
