Officials release guidance on U.S. flags

DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. --  Many members of Team Dobbins display the U.S. flag in their office and work centers. Therefore it is imperative to follow proper protocol for display of the flag indoors:

- Standard sizes for indoor flags are 3 feet by 5 feet on an 8 foot pole or 4 feet by 6-feet on a 9-foot pole.

- Indoor flags should have sewn fringe 

- The Air Force uses stainless spearhead finials (not golden eagles) 

- The base is a standard weighted stainless base with a deep pole holder 

- The pole is ash or a light maple finish
