Streamline your work load Published Aug. 27, 2009 By Senior Airman Shaun Shenk Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Many Airmen are working longer hours and performing more complicated job tasks. To help Airmen condense their work load, Air Force officials, including those here at Dobbins ARB, are using the Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st century program. "AFSO21 is there to improve and streamline the process," said Lt. Col. John Vallrugo, 94th Airlift Wing Process Manager. The program concentrates on current processes in all aspects of the mission here and makes an attempt to find redundant or weak links and improve them. "The wing is looking at increasing operations support, increase operations efficiency and decrease non-valuable processes," said Colonel Vallrugo. Any Airman may contact Colonel Vallrugo if they have ideas to increase efficiency in their respective work areas. Colonel Vallrugo reminds Airmen that this process is mostly concentrated on the Dobbins mission rather than larger Air Force issues such as uniform issues or the physical fitness test. More information about AFSO21 can be found on the Dobbins ARB Web site or Air Force portal.
