*Editor's Note: The 94th Public Affairs office has started a weekly "PA Pigskin Picks" competition. Correctly guess who will win NFL games each week for a chance to win prizes and be named the Pigskin Expert of the Week. Winners will be announced on the Web site each week.*

Congrats to Richardean Mitchell, 94th Maintenance Group, who is the Pigskin Expert of Week 3. Even though Week 3 had a lot of surprises and the highest average number of misses (five to six games), Richardean only missed two games. And yes, one of her misses was the Washington loss to Detroit.

"Finally"

After losing 19 games in a row, the Detroit Lions finally won a game. It was the first NFL win for both Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz and rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford completed 21 of his 36 pass attempts for 241 yards and a touchdown. Detroit's defense answered the call by shutting out the Redskins in the first half and stopped their last drive. However, they still have a long road away with Chicago, Pittsburgh and Green Bay for their next three games. Let's see if the "streak" continues.

Thanks to a bye, the Atlanta Falcons will have an extra week to prepare for the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately, they were unable to get it done against the Patriots this past Sunday. After only being down by three points at halftime, the Falcons defense gave up another 13 points while the offense was held scoreless in the second half.

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan completed 17 of his 28 pass attempts for 199 yards and no touchdowns. Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez only had one catch for 16 yards. The week off should give the team time to regroup and prepare for a 49ers team that has been playing well up to this point.

Since this is a UTA weekend, don't forget to turn in your Week 4 entry form by Saturday, Oct. 3 at 4:30 p.m. Good luck!
