PA Pigskin Picks: Week 6 Published Oct. 14, 2009 By The "Football Czar" Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Congrats to Senior Master Sgt. Robbie Walter, 622nd Regional Support Group, who is the Pigskin Expert of Week 5. This was a tough week, and many people missed at least six or more games. Popular missed games were the Browns over the Bills, Bengals over the Ravens and Seahawks over the Jaguars. Yet, Robbie reigned victorious as the sole winner with only two missed games. Great showing! As we enter Week 6 of the NFL season, there are still five unbeaten teams; Colts, Broncos, Giants, Vikings and Saints. The question now is which team (or teams) will remain unbeaten for another week. We know the Colts will stay undefeated for at least one more week because they have a bye. Brett Favre and the Vikings will have a tough test this week against the Ravens. The Ravens are 3-2, but they are playing well. The Vikings are one of the best teams in the league this year. Look for Adrian Peterson and the Vikings to remain unbeaten this week. In a battle of unbeaten, the Giants will travel to New Orleans to play the Saints. The latest report has Eli playing despite his foot injury. Unfortunately, that will not be enough. Coming off their bye week, Drew Brees and the Saints will move to 5-0 this week. The Denver Broncos will take on the 2-2 San Diego Chargers. Rookie Knowshon Moreno has rushed for 337 yards and one touchdown through the first five games of the season. The Broncos as a team have played well so far, but the Chargers will give them their first lost of the season on Monday night. What a difference a bye week makes. The Atlanta Falcons had an impressive 49-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday. Matt Ryan completed 22 of his 32 pass attempts for 329 yards and two touchdowns. Receiver Roddy White had eight catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns. Running Back Michael Turner had 22 carries for 97 yards and three touchdowns. After a disappointing lost to the New England Patriots in Week 3, the whole team looked great Sunday. Coach Mike Smith took full advantage of the extra week and had his team hitting on all cylinders. This week the Falcons host the 3-1 Chicago Bears in the Sunday night game. As always, don't forget to turn in your Week 6 entry form by Friday, Oct. 16 at 4:30 p.m.
