Homage to Heroes Golf Tournament Published Oct. 20, 2009 ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Sign-up and let us honor you! We want to honor you! Business and citizen sponsors want to show their appreciation to you, our heroes, in honor of your patriotism, service and sacrifice to the United States and its citizens. Businesses and area civic leaders have teamed up with Camp MAGIK, a non-profit children's organization working with parentally bereaved children, to plan a golf tournament honoring U.S. military servicemembers as well as first responder defenders from the police and fire departments. The tournament is scheduled for Friday, October 30 at the Trophy Club in Alpharetta, Georgia http://tcatlanta.americangolf.com. Tee-time will be at 12:30 p.m. with a dinner to be provided afterwards. All 144 spots are reserved for military, police and firemen. Participation is "Free" for Military Service men and women. It will be a day of golf, good food, prizes and most importantly, good company. A representative from the senior leadership at Dobbins Air Reserve Base will welcome one and all to the day's activities. All we want is for you to enjoy the day and accept our gratitude. All you have to do is sign up and show up...we will take care of the rest! Proceeds raised will benefit Camp MAGIK (Mainly About Grief In Kids - see http://www.campmagik.org. This camp provides free camps with professional grief counseling for children who have lost a parent or sibling to death, including children of our fallen heroes.
