Vietnam Vet set to speak at next Air Warrior Briefing

Vietnam is the theme for the 700th Airlift Squadron's Air Warrior, David Waldrop III. The Vietnam veteran who flew the F-105 Thunderchief, also known as "The Thud," will speak to Reservists during the Air Warrior Briefing at the 700th AS Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. inside Bldg. 732.

Waldrop's involvement with aviation spans a multi-spectacular career from 1964 through today. He flew "The Thud" during the height of the Vietnam War, completing 100 missions that involved MiGs, missile defenses and AAA.To his credit, he came home with three Silver Stars, three Distinguished Flying Crosses, 11 Air Medals and a MiG kill.
