Congratulations to Master Sgt. Carl Mayo, 94th Maintenance Squadron, the Pigskin Expert of Week 11. Carl was in a four-way tie for first place and emerged the winner by being closet to the actual score of the Cleveland vs Detroit game. Congrats on the win Carl!

The Real Deal

Monday night's game between the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots showcased two of the NFL's best quarterbacks. The undefeated Saints had a dominate performance proving to the world that they are the "Real Deal." They are now 11-0 averaging 37 points a game. Wow!

Drew Brees threw for 371 yards and five touchdowns as his team won 38-17. Brees completed 18 of his 23 passes and threw touchdowns to five different players. He also had a perfect passer rating and set a team record of 16.1 yards per pass. This week the Saints will face the 3-8 Redskins at FedEx field and should advance to 12-0.

For the first time ever the NFL has two teams that have 11-0 records. The Colts beat the Houston Texans 35-27 on Sunday to stay undefeated. Manning completed 27 of his 35 passes for 244 yards three touchdowns and 2 interceptions. The Colts trailed most of the game but they took the lead mid-way in the fourth quarter and never looked back. The Colts have won five straight games when trailing in the fourth quarter. The Colts have also won 20 straight regular season games. One shy of the NFL longest streak held by the Patriots back in 2006 - 2008.

In local news, the Atlanta Falcons rallied to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20 -17. Back-up QB Chris Redman threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Roddy White with 23 seconds left to win the game. The Falcons are 5-0 at home this season.

QB Matt Ryan left the game after the first quarter due to a toe injury. He is not expected to play this week against the Eagles. Runningback Michael Turner re-injured his ankle and left the game in the third quarter. The Falcons also lost two offensive linemen to injury Sunday;Harvey Dahl and Sam Baker.

Michael Vick will make his return to Atlanta this week when the Philadelphia Eagles come to town. Vick has seen limited actions this year in his role as a backup to Donovan McNabb. He has completed three of his nine pass attempts for six yards and 15 carries for 65 yards. Vick has not played in Atlanta since 2006.

Since this is a UTA weekend, you have an extra day to get your Week 13 picks in. As always good luck!
