Pearl Harbor is the theme for the 700th Airlift Squadron's December Air Warrior Briefing. The guest speaker will be Mack Abbott, a Marine who survived the attacks on Pearl Harbor and who is credited with firing the first and last shots of World War II for the Marine Corps.

Abbott will recount his experiences the morning of Dec. 7, 1941 when Japanese warplanes bombed and strafed Pearl Harbor, a harbor on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii, where his Marine barracks and other military installations were located. He will also speak about his heroic efforts battling Japanese and other enemy forces during World War II.

The briefing begins promptly at 2 p.m. inside the 700th AS briefing room in building 732. For more information about Abbott, please read a brief biography here.
