Commander sends holiday message Published Dec. 4, 2009 By Col. Heath J. Nuckolls 94th Airlift Wing commander DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Happy holidays and a sincere thanks to you--our Dobbins Team, your families and your employers for their support and sacrifices. We are constantly grateful for the support of our friends and family throughout the year. Our success reflects their confidence in us in support of our great country. Everyone has done a great job this year. We've deployed more than 156 Airmen this year. With your success in filling our Air Expeditionary Force taskings as well as continental U.S. assignments, you truly represent the capabilities of the total force concept worldwide. Many of our Airmen and civilians have been recognized for their achievements through various awards. We salute all who have been and are recognized as outstanding performers in the Air Force Reserve Command. Remember those military men and women who are serving and are separated from their families and friends this holiday season. Whether they serve in Southwest Asia, in the U.S. or with any other global operation, we look forward to their safe return. We have much to look forward to as we transition to an operational wing within the coming years. I'm confident we will meet each new challenge with success as we have met each inspection, tasking and deployment for 2009. I want to remind you to be extra careful in your travels and celebrations during this holiday season. I look forward to your safe return in 2010. Again, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a great new year. I'm proud of the service and how you've represented this wing, the Air Force Reserve Command and the U.S. Air Force.
