Nearly 100 Airmen returned Thursday from an Operational Readiness Inspection deployment to Gulfport, Miss., that took place during the December unit training assembly weekend here.

Airmen from the 94th Civil Engineer Squadron, 94th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, 80th Aerial Port Squadron and the 94th Aeromedical Staging Squadron participated in the event.

The 94th Airlift Wing Airmen demonstrated their combat skills training while operating in a deployed combat scenario at the Air National Guard Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport, Miss.

Military service for 94th AW Airmen includes job specialty training, training in combat skills and survival, practicing and utilizing what Airmen have learned -- and then more training.

Months of preparation goes into an ORI. Dobbins Airmen -- and the civilians and contractors who supported them -- were ready for the task.
