Dobbins airmen excelled throughout the 2009 calendar year. Their accomplishments were recognized by fellow airmen and commanders alike. The successes of our Dobbins airmen has not only paved the way for future generations, but also has provided an even greater challenge for potential airmen to meet and surpass the already high expectations Dobbins airmen have come to set. This article was chosen for the year in review because it exemplifies the outstanding achievements of our Dobbins airmen.

Dobbins answers call to disaster relief assistance

10/3/2009 - DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- C-17 aircraft from the 315th Airlift Wing, Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. and the 452nd Air Mobility Wing, March AFB, Calif. transport FEMA communication equipment and supplies to Hickam AFB, HI from Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga. Oct. 2.

FEMA will set up a command station in Hawaii to communicate with aircraft delivering humanitarian supplies to the tsunami-devastated Samoa region in the South Pacific.
