7-digit dialing takes effect tomorrow Published Jan. 5, 2010 Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- The Dobbins telephone switch upgrade is well underway and by tomorrow, base employees will have to dial seven digits (655-XXXX). After the upgrade programming, dialing 5-XXXX will receive an error message. Please check all of your fax machines that have been set to speed dialing to other on base faxes and make sure they are reset with the seven digit dialing by the end of the day on Wednesday.
