Their mission: To lead, coach and develop current and future NCOs.

In efforts to continue this group legacy, members of the Dobbins Top 3 proposed a series of initiatives during their December Unit Training Assembly meeting. Members will vote on the proposed issues during their January meeting.

"I am very excited and looking forward to 2010," said Master Sgt. Larry Lopez, president of the Dobbins Top 3. "When working together as a team, much can be accomplished."

Master Sgt. Jeffrey Botz of the 700th Airlift Squadron was elected Vice President at the December meeting and will be joining the rest of the Top 3 officers, Senior Master Sgt. Andrea Deaton, secretary, Master Sgt. Patrina Sheffield, treasurer and Master Sgt. Michael Varnado, chaplain.

The Dobbins Top 3 plans to be very busy throughout the upcoming year with many projects. The first being their 2010 Leadership Speaker Series in which they will have a guest speaker at each Top 3 meeting. The group will partner with the Dobbins Chiefs Group and 56 Group to seek ways to increase membership and explore various fundraisers.

"We are looking for all Dobbins' SNCOs to join us and lead new programs for mentorship, leadership and giving back to the Dobbins community," said Sergeant Lopez.

Reservists are welcomed and encouraged to attend the next Top 3 meeting Jan. 10 at 12:30 p.m. at Verhulst Hall or call Senior Master Sgt. Bonnie Brooks at 678-655-5590 for more information.
