Inclement weather procedures Published Jan. 6, 2010 Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Due to inclement weather, employees are authorized to report at 9 a.m. Jan. 8. Should the base experience closures or early dismissals, the following guidance approved by Col. Heath Nuckolls, 94th Airlift Wing commander, should be followed: 1. Group dismissals of employees because of severe storm, snow or icing conditions will be authorized by the Base Commander only. Should this occur during normal duty hours, the Civilian Personnel office will contact unit managers and advise them to place all non-essential employees on duty status on administrative leave. 2. Should the hazardous weather occur outside normal duty hours, notification will be made by" a. First employees should call the automated base recording at 678-655-2333 b. Secondly, employees can watch local TV and AM/FM radio stations for base closure information c. Employees may also visit the public base Web site at www.dobbins.afrc.af.mil TV WSB (Channel 2) WAGA (Channel 5) WXIA (Channel 11) WGCL (Channel 46) 3. On those mornings when weather conditions are responsible for late reporting, tardiness may be excused up to two (2) hours. 4. Employees on flextime will receive the same hours of excused absence as other employees when the base opening is delayed for a specific number of hours.
