PA Pigskin Picks: Conference, Pro Bowl, Superbowl Published Jan. 21, 2010 Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Congrats to Tech. Sgt. Hiram Gunter Jr., the winner for the Wildcard and Divisional Picks. Hiram was tied with Maj. Alex DeGracia, 700th Airlift Squadron, with only four misses. However, Hiram was closest to the score of the Cowboys and Eagles game during the Wildcard weekend. The post season has been an exciting ride so far! The Cowboys continued their hot streak, beating the Eagles by 20 points in the Wildcard game, but then fell short against a rejuvenated Minnesota Vikings team. In true Cinderella fashion, the Jets not only beat the Bengals at home, but also beat a streaking Chargers team at home in sunny California. They now play a rematch with the Colts, who will try to redeem their first loss of the season against the Jets in Week 16. The Balitmore Ravens entered the post season full speed with a touchdown during the first play against the New England Patriots during the Wildcard game. They were able to run over Tom Brady and crew to a win. However, the Colts easily knocked the Ravens out the running and only held them to 3 points. The most exciting game by far was the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers matchup. It was an offensive shootout between Kurt Warner and Aaron Rodgers that went into overtime when the teams were tied at 45-45 at the end of regulation. Green Bay won the toss and it seemed like the Packers would win since neither teams' defenses were making any stops. However, the Cardinals forced a fumble and recovered it for a 17-yard touchdown. The win didn't go without controversy. Countless replays showed a defensive player grabbing Aaron Rodgers' facemask, yet it wasn't caught by the refs. So the Cardinals went into New Orleans feeling pretty good about themselves. Experts predicted another shootout, but a healthy Saints team was able to bring key defensive stops that the Packers failed to. Reggie Bush was red hot and scored a touchdown on a 46-yard run and a kickoff return to help the Saints win 45-14. The Saints will now host the Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre, who will stop at nothing to win another championship. Afterall, that's why he keeps un-retiring right?
