What is your job title and what are your responsibilities?
Wing Information Protection Specialist; As an Information Protection Specialist I currently maintain the Wing Information Assurance Awareness Program. I work with unit Information Assurance Officers to ensure that all security standards and procedures are implemented and maintained to protect the Information Systems and all of the Information contained within that system.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The fact that my job allows me to learn about technology and keep up with it as it changes. I also find it rewarding to share with people who may not see themselves as "computer people" different aspects of Information Technology and how it is a positive asset to their job and life.

What do you find challenging about your job?
Finding a balance of giving the users vital information in a way that is technical enough to get our message across but not too technical that I lose them resulting in the message being tuned out.

What makes your career field vital to the overall mission of the Air Force?
Information Protection ensures the integrity of Information Systems as well as the Air Force Network as a whole. My job allows the Air Force to share vital information at almost instantaneous speed while protecting that information from interception or exploitation.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?
Volunteering in Haleigh's class and with her softball, managing Hunter's soccer team and reading.
