ADX migration begins Feb. 22 Published Feb. 5, 2010 94th Communications Flight DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Starting Feb. 22, Dobbins will be performing an Active Directory & Exchange (ADX) migration on all computers, users and E-Mail accounts. This action supports the Air Force's new E-Mail for Life program, which is a consolidation effort to give everyone an e-mail address with a universal format. The new E4L addresses will not be base specific, such as @dobbins.af.mil, but will have the extension of @us.af.mil. This means that every Air Force user -- active-duty, Guard, Reserve, civilian or contractor -- will keep that address for as long as they're associated with the Air Force. For the project to be successful, all personnel need to bring in issued laptops for the February UTA. Keep laptops powered on and connected to the network through the end of the March UTA. Do not power down or disconnect the laptops during the month. Additional migration instructions will follow. For additional information on the ADX migration highlights click here.
