Wing announces Family Day 2010 agenda Published March 1, 2010 Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Wing officials here recently announced the activities for Wing Family Day 2010, scheduled for May 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lakeside Pavilion. The Dobbins Services event will feature a DJ, games and entertainment for both children and adults, an "Old Fashioned" Fire Muster competition, a 94th Security Forces Squadron demonstration and a cookout. People will also be able to use paddle boats around the lake. Family Day is an annual event that allows Reservists and other employees of Team Dobbins to invite their families out to the base for food, relaxation and fun. "The Air Force recruits individuals but the Air Force retains families," said Chief Master Sgt. John Anderson, 94th Airlift Wing Command Chief, during last year's successful event. "Without the support of our families none of us could maintain readiness in our units. American Airmen are patriotic citizens that take care of business and a principal part of that business involves our families," he said.
