56 Group elects new executive board officers

The Dobbins 56 Group held elections March 7 during the Unit Training Assembly.

Newly elected executive board officers are Tech. Sgt. Tanisha Lofton, president, Staff Sgt. Aaron Abshire, vice president, Staff Sgt. Erica Shelton, administrator and Tech. Sgt. Tracy Bridges, treasurer.

The board plans to immediately explore new fundraising avenues for the organization.

The purpose of the 56 Group is to promote morale and esprit de corps, enhance communication, and help maintain and reestablish traditions within NCOs. Its goals are directed towards supporting and facilitating the NCO Induction Ceremony, NCO Leadership Development, NCO Supervisory Development Courses, and Airman mentoring through the Airman Development work shops. It focuses on improving the whole person concept by participating in community service activities on and off base.

The 56 Group is facilitated and underwritten by the Dobbins Chiefs' Group and Top 3 organization.

Meetings are held UTA Sundays, 12 p.m. at the Transportation Proficiency Center, Building 747.
