FM OIC receives Commendation Medal Published May 1, 2010 By Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- The Air Force Commendation Medal (Third Oak Leaf Cluster) was awarded to Capt. Isidro S. Renteria-Silva, officer in charge, 94th Financial Management May 1. Captain Renteria-Silva's performance, leadership and managerial skills Jan. 2009 to Dec. 2009 transformed the 94th Airlift Wing's financial management section into a center of excellence in support of the Warfighter. He led efforts in preparation for the 2008 Air Force Reserve Command Unit Compliance Inspection, resulting in zero discrepancies in the section. Captain Renteria-Silva implemented and executed a Master Annual Training Plan, ensuring all section members are fully trained and ready to mobilize worldwide within 72 hours. His restructuring of responsibilities aligning personnel for career progression resulted in qualified candidates for promotion. He developed training schedules and a certification plan that ensures each member's skill level is upgraded accurately and timely. The distinctive accomplishments of Captain Renteria-Silva reflect credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
