Thirteen Airmen from the 94th Security Forces Squadron returned home from Iraq on Monday, just in time for Memorial Day.

"I'm thankful that my team and I got home safely on such a symbolic day," said Master Sgt. Engle R. Coulter, 94th SFS.

The Airmen were greeted and saluted by Dobbins leadership; Col. Timothy E. Tarchick, commander, 94th Airlift Wing, Command Chief Master Sgt. John Anderson, Lt. Col. Timothy H. Martz, commander, 94th SFS and Chief Master Sgt. Wendell Peacock.

"Memorial Day isn't about beaches, barbeques and sales, it's about service, duty and honor," said Colonel Tarchick as he thanked family members for their sacrifice.

"It's a joint effort. Our Airmen could not have done their job without the support from their families at home," Tarchick said.

The airmen provided base security and training to relief troops at Kirkuk Regional Air Base.

"It's a good feeling to be home," said Staff Sgt. Brandon Johnson, who was greeted by his son, Brandon, Jr.
